Updating arecord in access form

Add a new "Date/Time" field using the field menu; we’ll call this “First Created”. Notice this date field has a default of "Current Date".

The default value is used in two ways: This means that when a new record is created, the value for this field will default to the current date.

The code below opens a recordset taken from a table in the current database on a query or attached table Access defaults the Type property to db Open Dynaset.

In your Pages builder, select any page that contains a form used to "edit" your record.

Edit the form by clicking on it, then access the "Form Rules" using the left panel.

In this final installment dealing with unbound forms, we are going to look at how to edit or change and delete a record.

I’ve modified the contact view form a little so that it looks something like this: As you can see I’ve only added two buttons to the form. Because we are using a list box to view the records contained in the table, we have to update it in real-time when deleting a record.
